On Our Way [Alee]

Dainty paws balanced gingerly on the white picketed pillars, claws slightly unsheathed as she dug firmly into the wood for a hold; her dark green eyes, tinged an almost amber hue, shine from beneath her perfectly shaped tabby mask, and as she pads quickly along the fence she seems to walk with both a poise and dignity so expected of a kittypet.

The prim fae had no ulterior destination in mind; she was simply allowing her snow splashed paws to guide her in whatever direction seemed most alluring. Sometimes it would be within the very thickets of ThunderClan woods, prowling the mice and voles that sought refuge beneath the brush; other times it would be lurking within the depths of the alleys in the company of Wolfsbane, a dangerous tomcat whom Fifi La'Belle had become rather close to.

This time however she found herself padding in neither of the aforementioned directions. Now her paws were leading her along fences and past tangled woods of stone concrete paths and twoleg nests; over yapping dogs and narrowly avoiding some spitting - yet rather cowardly - territorial tomcats. She had no idea where she was heading but as usual it was not logic that tugged at her chest; rather, a strong desire for adventure led her forward, a constant string pulling incessantly at her heart.

She came to a halt when the jingle of a bell caught her ears. Fifi perked up, tail twitching, curiosity settling alight on her chest. She picked up the pace, rounding a sharp bend in the line of the fence, and all of a sudden stumbling upon a fluffy black cat, perched in the garden of what must've been her home. A slick smile twisted her furry muzzle. Ah, one of those kittypets - the type who couldn't hunt an injured bird if it landed right in front of her eyes!

Fifi was quite lucky in a way; she of course wore the dreaded collars, but they didn't tinkle with chimes or bells. She was also not confined to indoors, thank the Heavens for that. She couldn't help herself - teasing was just much too fun, too deeply imbued within her nature - and so she leaped down from the fence, landing with a slight thump on solid ground.

"Look what we have here," came her sweetened purr, practically dripping honey. "Let me guess - you're waiting for your twolegs to feed you a second helping of mush? Ah...can't say I blame you. I bet that bell scares away all the prey. Am I right?
